Here’s a thread with information about Aokigahara (The Suicide Forest in Japan) by the lovely user flavordays on Twitter. If you needed proof of how much of a scumbag Logan Paul is, here it is.

Now I’m in no way shape or form saying what Logan Paul did is ok but laughing in the face of things we’re too sad or afraid to face is a common human reaction actually and completely understandable psychologically whether it’s trying to trick yourself into being happier or less afraid or to lighten up a dark situation by making light of it.

That said vlogging there and doing things the way he did… No, not ok, not the same.

I originally wasn’t going to respond to your comment on my reblog but I couldn’t just let it slip away.

Do people laugh and sometimes smile in awkward situations? Yeah. it happens all the time. However, this isn’t just your average every day situation. This isn’t your average awkward situation. Even if they were shaken by this all, they could have not uploaded this.

Logan took the video from his SD card, put it on his computer, bleeped out curse words, added that intro he recorded after the incident, blurred out the victim face, put the victim in the thumbnail and then titled ‘we found a body!’ all that took over 24 hours to record and edit, no doubt.

he had PLENTY of time to realize what he did was wrong. he had MORE THAN ENOUGH time to not upload this. if he was truly regretful he wouldn’t have! He would have literally done anything but.

if they were truly afraid and worried, specifically about the man and his fans who may also be suicidal, he wouldn’t have posted this. point fucking blank.

also, off topic from what you said, but there are so many other ways to raise awareness on suicide. he could have uploaded a video talking about the forest and it’s history. he could have done a sit down talk video about what happened w/ out showing the victim. he could have done a regular video about suicide and urging people not to. he could have donated to suicide prevention- specifically the forest. he could have done so much. uploading a video of a man who had recently taken his life is not raising awareness.

Logan Paul is a piece of shit who is being protected by Youtube, simply because he is a cash cow for them. He is only sorry now (even that is up to debate) because he realizes what he did is wrong after being yelled at by thousands of people. His actions were inexcusable. His reaction in real time is meaningless compared to his actions following what happened. He could have done so much but instead he exploited a man’s death, as well as the people of Japan who have lost a loved one in Aokigahara.
