please. keep leelah in your hearts. but don’t make her a martyr. mourn all the other trans girls who died because of injustice too but didn’t get a fraction of the attention. the girls who died because of violence. or because they were pushed to it. the girls who were denied proper care because of how they presented. the girls who were abandoned.

If u are unwilling to have a disabled, gay, trans, etc. child then do not have a child. If u r not prepared to love your child unconditionally then don’t have a child
she left a ten paragraph suicide note where she talked extensively about how it was her parents’ fault for the way they dealt with her dysphoria and then a separate post where she writes to the people in her life and the line to her parents is “Mom and Dad: Fuck you. You can’t just control other people like that.” and yet her mom goes on social media and says her son was out walking and was accidentally hit by a truck
You can’t call yourself a feminist if you exclude transgender women.
