When people don’t understand why Black students/people are not in STEM majors/fields
Understand we are not afforded all of the same opportunities. We are not given all the same chances.
It is not because Black students are “lazy” or “stupid”, it is not because Black students only want things handed out to us, it is not because we are more focused on material things.
I attended and taught (at the same time) at one of these schools that didn’t have Algebra, chemistry, biology, Trig etc. This was a high school.
Understand that because “education” is offered and is “free”, it does not mean that the student is actually receiving education.
