post-canon things i want to write about in no coherent order:
-Kanaya looking for a place to raise the mother grub, perhaps with help from Karkat or Roxy -Rose dithering about whether or not to read Complacency of the Learned -Karkat and Dave struggling at being in a relationship while other people are watching -Rose and Dirk speculating on what being gods of the new universe actually means -Dad trying to deal with all these Sad Orphans and worrying about John and how he’s supposed to relate to him -Jade trying to keep her shit together and be human while still having The Best Powers. -John and Dave talking about sexuality and John actually kind of sort of maybe getting it this time -Karkat being voted Leader against his will and better judgment -Dirk and Jake trying to figure out whether they should try to be friends or just stay away from each other for awhile -Roxy and Calliope trying to figure out this human/cherub romance business -Terezi looking for Vriska inside the collapsed universe of Sburb
But also consider:
-Jade getting over the Davesprite awkwardness with Dave -Calliope actually getting to know the betas -Jane John and Dadbert bonding through the pranksters gambit
Any story claiming to be a deconstruction of fairy tales but has nothing to offer except new types of violence, more explicit sex, and a general attitude of “lol happy endings aren’t real” is like. such a cultural waste of time tbh
know what actually is a good deconstruction of a fairy tale? Shrek. It fucks up just about everything in a normal fairy tale and still manages to have a happy ending with a good message and never once has to be ‘gritty’ or ‘dark’. It’s actually really well done.
