andreii-tarkovsky:

to all the immigrants who made sure to legalize their situation to vote.

to all the people who used to be apathetic but now voted for the first time.

to all those who made anything in their power to cast a vote.

to all those who were the only vote in a family full of people with uncertain legal status.

to all those who said not women should be denigrated.

to all those who thought not only in them but in the queer youth of the future.

to all those who want to honor their faith without being harmed.

to all those who want not to fear to the police.

to all those who didn’t wash their hands in a third vote.

i’m proud of you, we all did everything that was in our power, we didn’t fail, the worst part is tomorrow, not matter what, we get to wake up in a country who doesn’t want us, but let’s take this to check ourselves, to unify, to respect our religions, to abolish anti-blackness, to end prejudices against other minorities in our inner communities, to join a cause, to keep on working, on studying, on moving this country, maybe is the white man the one who gets to rule the nation, but this place is only walking because of us, it has always been us and our own the ones keeping this country on moving, so think about it, not more being silent, not more fear, no more lack of empathy, we are way more even if the voting system is designed to make us think the opposite, we can fight this in all contexts and from all corners and all occupations, let’s not allow them to enjoy this, they can’t have the pleasure and they won’t, let’s give them hell, not with harm ‘cause we are not low like them, but with our success despite them.
