The original video was released by PETA. There’s a better post with an explanation by an actual dog trainer.

I’ll summarize it: the trainer was carefully introducing the dog to the water, and not once did he let go. The video cuts out before you can see the trainer reward the dog (which is highly likely seeing as the video is by PETA).

So please if you’re spreading anything spread this post or the one with the full explanation.
