Literally one of my favourite facts ever is that J. M. Barrie, Rudyard Kipling, H. G. Wells, Arthur Conan Doyle, P. G. Wodehouse, A. A. Milne, as well as the son of Alfred Tennyson and many others played on the same amateur cricket team AND THEY WERE TERRIBLE how great is that
You discover a grand hall filled with legendary weapons like Mjonir and Excalibur. Each generation or so, warriors come to the hall to inherit a weapon that they are worthy enough to wield. Across the hall you see a forgotten weapon that’s been collecting dust. You hear it call to you.

why are bees coded in a way that makes them completely incompatible with hqm
i just want like. a checklist. so i can tell how many bees (of like 250) ive bred. hqm has four different item detection modes and you’d think one of them would work but you would be wrong
Most Americans are surprised when I tell them tattoo parlors are illegal in Korea, and that tattoos have an unfavorable public opinion on both men and women (though that’s slowly changing with the younger generation because many of our celebrities are Korean Americans who have tattoos). But they also don’t know that tattoos were given out as punishments to Korean slaves during the Imperial Japanese occupation, particularly for women, so… I guess I am trying to understand where they’re coming from and how they think tattoos are a kind of personal expression or a type of feminism… but also I know in my head that there are many women who never got married nor had the kids they wanted; and basically hid for the rest of their lives because they were force-ably tattooed, and this issue is so traumatizing that all that is passed on from my grandmother’s generation to my mom’s generation to my generation is that tattoos are off-limits without the whole history as to why they’re off-limits. Because none of us want to be reminded of this part of Korean Woman history.
the story in that link is very explicit and dark. trigger warnings for rape, brutality, forced cannibalism, and medical abuse
i dreamed that hiveswap finally shipped and it was REALLY good. gorgeous, funny, adorable, affordable… but the controller was an exercise bike with nintendo 64 controllers for handles. one on each side. those big three-pronged motherfuckers. that was why hiveswap was taking so long to ship, hussie had to get a factory to make enough gamebikes to ship to every single fucking backer. moving guys would come into your house and put the bike down. and like there was no other way to play it. you had to use the stupid fucking gamebike. and the start up screen assured you that if you died on your gamebike, you died in real life.
the worst thing is even now that i’m awake this is exactly the kind of thing i don’t trust hussie not to do. enjoy your fucking gamebikes, guys.
oh also he ended up apologizing for the ableism of putting out a game a lot of people physically couldn’t play, but said, “badly inconveniencing some people is unavoidable when you set out to deeply annoy all people, so.”
