Ok so as I’ve mentioned in the past I’ve never actually read Animorphs, so I’m literally a fake fan, but I found this post and was intrigued enough to give this design a shot. I also used the fan wiki for reference.
Probably the biggest change I made was making the hooves mandibular instead of just… absorbing grass… because that strikes me as a really inefficient way to meet your energy requirements as a large herbivorous animal. It was also fun trying to turn fingernails into teeth– I tried to imply an evolutionary history where the six limbs were derived from mouthparts, with similarities between the hands and feet, and the arms remaining in sort of a jaw position.
my art style is “so much dramatic lighting u cant tell what colour the thing is under all that”

hamsters are weird for me bc like. they’re in so many kids’ books and tv shows but theyre also illegal in australia. ive never seen one in real life. we get a ton of american/european media in australia and it all assumes you know what a hamster is, but as a kid i just had to guess based on context clues
Does anyone else have that one fanfiction that they’re dying to to write but it’s like, mega long and basically a whole universe, and then you’ve got head-cannons to go with that fanfiction and like fanfiction to go with that fanfiction an back-stories for every character and you get frikin’ feels about that universe and it’d be the most coolest thing if you could just be bothered to frikin’ write it.
