there have been a lot of terrible trends popping up in the gaming industry, ranging from $40 DLCs that add purely cosmetic features to games, to early access money-grabs that end up getting cancelled after the devs have taken tens of thousands of dollars, but perhaps the worst trend of all trends in the gaming industry is awkward game developers and gaming talk show hosts on youtube/livestreams thinking we’d rather watch them talk and sheepishly laugh with each other for 45 minutes than look at at least 5 solid minutes of gameplay
