john, rose, and jade all have the place they went god tier shown in this, but dave has the meteor. i think i’ve come to the conclusion that this means to them, going god tier was an empowering experience for them, but with dave it wasn’t. he didn’t “rise up” truly and see his self worth until he spent time on the meteor
kind of babbling some more like ok
for dave to have grown up with a forced idea of having to be strong and powerful and emotionless, to have felt like he never was loved, of course it’s not satisfying to him to “go god tier” of course it’s not empowering for him to be a top tier fighter? he associates being the strongest and being a hero with the upbringing he’s had. he said himself that the classic hero stereotype wasnt for him because his bro p much ruined it for him by making him feel hatedso OF COURSE he doesn’t feel strong or empowered until he’s in a community of people that love and respect him. of course calm, comfort, fun, love was something that made him feel strong. because bro always made him feel weak, no matter how physically strong he was, he never LET him feel strong. but his friends just loved him for who he was and that made him feel stronger than anything.
