jake english is actually better at robotics than dirk
jake builds highly advanced (for the time) robots from scratch with nothing except a vague idea of what to do and his instincts about robotics. his alternate universe self was able to build an incredibly advanced dreambot for jade and he ran a successful company that seemed to deal in robotics
dirk just fuckin buys the equivalent of robotic model kits off of future-amazon and assembles them. it’s the technical knowhow required to build a pc after ordering the parts online
