the problem with having read Homestuck (and a fair amount of associated fanfiction) is that every news article about the Juggalos gearing up to fight Nazis is shadowed by the inescapable vague conviction that Juggalos aren’t real
i have good news and bad news. much like minecraft, its impossible that john has ever played league of legends – it was in closed beta from april 10th 2009 til its release in october and its pretty unlikely john would have gotten an invite in that three-day window. the good news is the sburb beta was canonically released on april 10th 2009 which means league is our timelines sburb. actually thats bad news. i have no good news
when someone mentions Pearl Discourse i always think about how the MSPA forums have had a series of Vriska Quarantine Threads for literal years now because otherwise every discussion eventually turned into a giant Vriska argument
case in point:
these threads last 100 pages, or up to 2500 posts each before a new one is made. so it could be much worse
the mere fact this vriska argument went on for 42,500 posts and still going is a good estimate of human nature
page 88 of every vriska quarantine thread was dedicated entirely to fanart of vriska. it was a huge celebration highly anticipated as early as page 60
